How the Weather Effects Plumbing

Ever wondered exactly how pipes burst within and outside your home? Aloha Plumbing is here to fill you in and to fix your pipes if the accident occurs!

Why do pipes crack/burst?

1. Cold Weather

Extreme temperature and temperature changes cause pipes to freeze and then burst. If the water in the pipes freezes, it expands and creates pressure. This pressure is the reason pipes burst.

2. Age

We often find within the re-pipes that we do that most of them contain very old parts. Due to old age, corrosion can build up within the pipes causing it to fail.

3. Water Pressure

Too much water pressure can be the cause of pipes bursting. This is rarely the case, but can still happen nonetheless.

So what's the next step? Call Aloha Plumbing for a free estimate to perform a re-pipe! We are affordable and reliable in all we do.
