If you are stuck wondering when you should take the leap and replace your water heater, Aloha Plumbing is here to help.
There are tell tale signs when your water heater is going bad or is just too old to properly function any longer. Here are just a few signs to look out for:
1. The Age
It is pretty obvious that the older the water heater, the less likely it is to function properly for all of your hot water needs. You can actually find the age of your water heater by finding the serial number near the top of the tank.
2. Lack of Hot Water
Whether its not getting hot enough or doesn't seem to be heating up at all, it's probably a sign that you need to replace your water heater. Your water heater should be producing hot water- hence the name, 'Water Heater'.
3. Rumbling or Loud Noises
Hearing loud noises throughout your home is almost always a plumbing issue. Sometimes the noises can be caused by an old or damaged water heater that has a sediment build up.
4. Water Heater Leaking
Toward the end of your water heater's life, you can sometimes find a puddle of leaking water around the base of the tank or on the floor below it. This is a sign that you need a new water heater.
So, what do you think? Is it time for your water heater to be replaced completely?
